When your to-do list is too long

How is your stress level? What do you do when your to-do list is too long? It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with staring at a desk piled high or 300 emails are in your email inbox or 42 messages are in your voice mail.

Take a day or week for yourself — to work on the things that weigh heaviest on your mind or to dive into things that make your heart sing.

Choose a time. Whether first thing in the morning or at the end of the day. We suggest the following:

  1. DO the most important or difficult task first.

  2. DROP tasks based solely on someone else’s expectation — especially if you’re not getting paid for it.

  3. DELAY what you can with a courtesy call — most often people understand. That decision alone will greatly reduce your stress level.

  4. DELEGATE. Our goal at Organizing the Details is to relieve your stress by helping you to manage your business.

Delegating work to us means: we set up your appointments, we intercede with that difficult client, we call the prickly vendor, we write your collection letters, we handle your mail and pay your bills. So that you don’t have to.

Do more. With less stress you get to do more of the important stuff and less of those pesky detail-oriented stuff that keeps you feeling stuck in overwhelm.
